26. Blade Runner
Philip K. Dick is one of the all-time great science fiction authors of all time, and his novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?, which inspired the film Blade Runner, is a terrific work of art.
That said, the book can’t possibly compare to the movie. The sheer atmosphere, production design, and artistry of the film version is incredible, in how it sculpts a future that has continued to influence popular culture to this day, and the movie also views the replicants with far more empathy than the literary version did.
